Does this mean that if it were on a Nikon 35mm camera it would be the equivalent of a 27mm-82mm lens? ( Using NIkons 1.5x multiplier ). The reason I ask is that I am more familiar with 35mm lens focal lengths. Just trying to figure out what lens I am getting.
Zoom,wide angle etc...

I know what a mega pixel is, but I am a bit fuzzy on interpolation. If someone would explain the pros and cons I would appreciate it.

I currently use a Fujifilm A345..

http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital/lineup/a345
........

It is an okay camera.. but a little slow.. and not always very clear.
I love to take pictures of my kids.. but the response time from the instant I press the button and the actual time it takes the picture is way to slow.. I miss a lot of great picture moments. The pictures aren't as sharp and clear as I would like them either.

Any recommendations for a better digital camera that is no more than $300?

Thanks!

I just received a minolta xg1 film camera. I've never really worked with film (i started off my photography career with a digital and have been stuck on ever since) and I haven't any idea how it works. Is there a website or place that I could go to see a manual of some sort?

I live in dubai. I am planning a trip to himalayas mountains. I need a digital camera to buy which suits both hot summer 50 degree and cold - 10 degree temperatures with complete kit.
I was given to understand that battery loses charge in cold temperature so i need to know the quality one to carry with me. please someone who knows about it give me advise.

I am interested in purchasing a new camera. I currently have a Canon PowerShot A75 (with 3.2 mega pixels and 10x zoom), and I would like to upgrade to something better.

I enjoy taking pictures of family, and general "kodak moments", but it is also considered a hobby to where I will go out to nature preserves with my daughter and take some of her, other people, animals, and nature.

There are currently three different cameras I am deciding between and thought I would search out some opinions on which one would be the best of the three. I want something not too difficult to use, with many options, I love really good zoom options!!

Here are the three:

Canon Powershot S3-IS it has 6 mega pixels and 12x zoom.

Sony DSCH2 also has 6 mp. and 12x zoom

Finally, Kodak Easy Share 7612, this one has 6.1 mp. and 12x zoom

So, all you camera lovers and intellects, please let me know which would be the better choice.

Thanks!!

This camera is very good... except the battery life sucks. But I've came upon another problem.

I don't know what has happened, but it just won't turn on! I've tried so many different batteries, tried connecting it to a PC, removed the SD card, and STILL nothing.

The only thing I DID manage to get was 30 seconds of life, then dead. I also have a pair of batteries that flashes it on, then off. Did I mention these batteries are nearly, if not FULL POWER? I try it in a different application. Still full power.

So, do I NEED to use rechargables now? Or has something happened to it?

Please reply soon. Thanks in advance.
