tell me the best digi cam..which is compact or should i say very compact and lightweight with the best picture quality till this price or less. i had read reviews on dp reviews and stev digicams and many other..still i want to kno frm ppl her.and can dgital cams b used n rain.

Its gotta be Sony ! Its got to be the real thing. If anyone has a digital camera for you, it must be a Sony. Especially the Cybershot series. Depending on your budget, my choices are contained in this link :

Take a look at the new Olympus Stylus 720 SW and see if this is what you're after. It's both shock and water resistant. I think it's just in your price range.

This is not so small, but waterproof and it has GPS. Check the Ricoh 500SE.
