I am looking for a point and shoot camera with very good close up facilities that can be used with a flash as well at a close range and does notresult in burn out! Can anyone assist please

What makes a point and shoot camera a point and shoot camera is that it has a fixed focus lens. Therefore if you get closer than about 4 foot, your subject will become out of focus. Also the aiming window becomes inaccurate for close objects because of the parallax with the main lens. An SLR will work better because you can confirm both the focus and framing through the main lens.
