Honestly, as much as you want! Is putting your picture on MySpace the only reason you want a camera? If so, you don't have to spend alot of money at all. You can use a regular camera to take the picture and get the images burned onto a CD (or you can scan them into the computer yourself).
However, if you're really interested in a digital camera, there are a lot of good cameras that are inexpensive. You can get one for $150 to $200, standard. Any cheaper than that, the quality won't be great. Also, megapixels aren't that important past about 4-5.0, unless you're going to be blowing prints up into poster size.
Hope that helps.

You can buy one-time-use cameras pretty cheap, unless you plan on doing picture taking in the future as well.

As a lot of people have said, you don't need to spend a lot of money. In fact, if you start posting a lot of 22-megapixel pictures on your site, people will hate it, because it will take forever to load your pages.

If you're just going to use the shots for the web, any digital camera would do.

You don't have to spend any if you have a scanner. Just find one you like, scan it into your photos in my documents, then upload it to my space.
