I just received a minolta xg1 film camera. I've never really worked with film (i started off my photography career with a digital and have been stuck on ever since) and I haven't any idea how it works. Is there a website or place that I could go to see a manual of some sort?

If this is a single lens reflex camera in learning how to use it, it will teach you a bit about photography. I hope you have the owners manual. Call Minolta. IF the camera is a SLR you will be setting your own aperature and shutter speed. You would have complete control. A great way to learn photography.

Try the above link. If you have been using a digital SLR the basic camera functions (outside of white balance) will be the same. Your camera is older though and will lack some of the functions of the newer ones. This, however, is not a bad thing. Just a simpler way of life!
OOPS, forgot this link for a possible manual...

It may sound a little dorky but some community colleges have photo 101 classes for all ages. These classes are usually inexpensive and give you first hand, hands on information.
