Does anyone know what makes a digital camera take pictures so fast? I have a digital camera that takes the picture and then takes 6 seconds to load...When I used my friends camera, her camera took the pictures and loaded almost instantly! So does anyone know what that is?

I have a Kodak EasyShare CX7530 camera. All of the sudden I can't review or delete any pictures from it. When I try, the camera shuts off. I just bought new batteries so it's not that, and it hasn't been damaged in any way.Has anyone else had this problem or know what I can do about it before I contact the company? Thanx in advance.

I've looked at the Panasonic Lumix DMC LX2 which has all the features i want, not sure about the image quality though and it looks a little big for my pocket. Also I've looked at the new canon ixsus 850 and canon powershot g7. Can you recommend others? I'm an amature photographer but need a camera that i can easily take when going on a night out.

I have the Vivitar ViviCam 5195, but when you use the flash it uses a lot of battery causing you not to get enough photos? The picture quality is brilliant however you always get those demonish 'red eyes' all the time! But the price, £50 was a good deal.

What do you's think?

And if you know how to stop 'red eye' apart from using photo editing software, please tell me =)

I really want to purchase a digital camera this year but I'm clueless as to what to get. I would like something that is a reasonable price. 300 is TOPS. it would be nice for it to be under 250, but I won't sacrifice quality for price. I want a camera that takes nice, clear pictures. Something that will last. It shouldn't be too hard to use but I'm generally good with electronics so that's not too much of an issue.

Suggestions are welcome. Specific camera models or even just brands that you think are good will be helpful. Thanks!

I'm about to buy the D80 (felt great in the store) after being advised on answers to spend the money on lenses than the body. A friend is a Canon user and recommended the following range - what would be the equivalent or recommended Nikon lenses you suggest?
He has the: 10-22mm EFS, the 24-70mm f2.8L, and the 70-200 IS F2.8L.

My main need is a good portrait lens but I travel a lot so I need more than that. I saw some comments on the 18-200 VR as well...I'm a bit confused so if anyone has some sage advice please dole it over. I'm loving Search answers, thanks Yahoo!

First there was a lens error and now there's like this black stuff in the lens area. I'm wondering if I should get it fixed or just buy a new one.

Please read carefully before answering:

When chroma noise appears at high ISOs or long exposures, will increasing the image saturation setting in the camera increase the intensity of the colors in the noise OR will the intensity of the color in the noise be the same regardless of the saturation setting? I realze that the AMOUNT of chroma noise will be unaffected by the saturation setting. I'm only talking specifically about the color intensity of the noise itself.

The idea being to increase signal-to-noise which can later be cleaned up in Photoshop.

I previously read that only photos with dimensions divisible by 16 can be losslessly rotated. Although ACDsee pro 8.0 has a feature called "Force lossless jpeg operations", I'm not sure if that applies in my case, since the height of the jpg file (1224 pixels) is only divisible by 8, not 16. I absolutely do not want to lose picture quality or any exif data.

Also, how can I find out what is the Minimum Coded Unit (MCU) of the file? And how do I know if ACDsee Pro 8.0 works with this particular MCU?

Thanks in advance.
