I plan on taking a month long trip and would like to find a device to store my images on. I do not plan on bringing a laptop, so I would need a device that reads my compact flash card, store the info, and erase the cf memory. Anyone have recommendations or something they could share? Something small and relatively inexpensive would be best (maybe ~$100usd). Thanks!

What is an affordable camera that produces great quality pictures? It doesn't have to have much zoom, but the megapixels need to be good.

Okay, I have a an HP Photosmart digital camera and usually when I start to copy the pictures to the computer, I just stick the memory card in the slot and a pop up comes up and asks me what I want to do with them. But now, when I stick the card in, nothing happens! How can I manually get into that? Please help!

In digital still cameras & camcorders it's given as 2X, 5X, 10x optical zoom.

Similarly, in Nokia camera phones they mention as 1.2 mega pixels 2 MP etc.

What's the difference between this two?

tell me clearly what's 1X zoom.

tnks in advance...!!

Hi, maybe I'm an idealist, but I am looking for an affordable digital camera that does really, really well in general and especially in concert capacity. I'd like for it to be small, thin, and have a good zoom (optical and digital). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Often, if the light is low or if anything in the field of view is moving even a little, I press the button to take the picture and as much as two or three seconds can go by before it actually TAKES the picture -- this is driving me crazy! Is there a digital camera I can buy that doesn't have this shutter lag?

I bought one for when I study abroad and now I'm a little iffy on if it is a good camera. It was cheap and it is my first digital camera.

i was about 14 at the time and didnt really care about taking pictures but now im interested. i already have other cameras that are digital so dont go there. I want to use this one. the problem is that i took pictures on a whole roll of film 25 pics and not one turned out! they were all just black. i dont know what could have happend i had the right film and i sure i didnt have my fingers over the lense either and everytime i took the pictures the camera acted normal. so i dont know what went wrong. i hardly ever used the thing i was never rough with it so it couldnt be a problem internaly. i just let it sit in my closet for 6 years i just pretended to take pics before so any one have any suggestions please tell me i have looked at the user guide and it wasnt helpful at all. thanks:)
