If you want something really good, something in the vicinity of 300 euro would work. It would work well for taking family pictures as well as taking on vacation. You would get a good resolution as well as a decent zoom.

In addition to the camera, you also need to budget for accessories like a memory card and a bag. Both together could probably be had for around 60 euro, depending on the capacity of the memory card and the type of bag or carrying case you get.

I have never been to Ireland or Portugal, but I would imagine that since both countries are on the euro, the prices should be about the same. The value-added sales tax will probably be different, but I can't say for sure.

buy local if you can.. that way you wont have to worry if any thing goes wrong with it...

I would say in the region of 150 euro should get you a good one. i know boots are doing a good one in England with free printer... i think that might cost you about 180 euro...

you can get them under 100euro...just shop around

Two shamrocks and a pint of the black stuff!

Seriously though, you can get decent ones for £80 these days. How much is that in euro-sheckles? 130?
