It was the wrong sort of memory card!
I was trying to put in a memory pro duo card into an sd slot!
I could have wrecked my new camera I am so lucky
I'll just blame it on being pregnant...

since it is wrong placement of card, don't attempt to push in and out the card it might add the problem. the slot on card was not oriented with the clip mechanism.

It was the stores fault so do a lot of complaining.
