I don't know the answer, but I sure wish you waste points and write back and tell of your outcome...even if it was your fault. I find your question quite interesting.

Hi there first of all i think you have put the memory stick in the wrong. I assume you have damaged the spring that releases the memory card ( could be wrong about the spring part). TRY using a pair of flat tweezers to to pull that card out. Its probably a SD card. you should be good.
OH and your camera won't turn on because when you have a memory card inside any camera the first thing it does when it turns is check to see if it can read the card. if it can't it automatically either turn off or never turn on. That is a safety mechanism built into all new or former new digital cameras made after 2003.
I hope this really helps. If i doesn't try contacting Samsung and i guarantee they will do a warranty for you. I used to work for SAMSUNG camera.
:)

If the memory card is the correct size and was inserted in the correct direction, all you need to do is push the memory card and it will click in a springy way and then you can pull it out again. So it's a push in and it allows it to spring out of the camera. As far as it not turning on, mine is turned on by pushing the little power button to the right till the green light goes on next to the settings button. To take a picture it is set to the green camera setting. Hope that helps. Make sure your batteries are fully charged and inserted in the proper direction as it displays.
In mine the memory card has the little gold lines facing away from the batteries.

pushing in and out might add the problem because you inserted it in wrong way. confirmed it should be stuck because the slot on memory card was not jointed on clip mechanism which makes it hold tightly. don't push yourself to take the action. take it to the nearest repair shop.

make confident the drivers for the reminiscence card reader are put in, then attempt a diffrent reminiscence card and if that dosen't artwork then the reminiscence card reader could be broken. If it does artwork then the reminiscence card could be locked (a sprint activate the ingredient of the cardboard can lock or unfastened up) or the reminiscence card contacts could be broken.

Push it in, rather than trying to pull it out? Might be spring loaded?

Push it in a bit further and harder. You may have put it in back to front.
