Im looking for a digital camera for my 8 year old daughter. Nothing too expensive that can take at least 30-50 pictures and give high quality photos. One with some good reviews as well. It doesnt have to be a professional kind. Thanks.

I'd recommend one of the entry level Canons or Kodaks. You can get either one bundled with a printer so she can print at home.
The Fisher Price camera is mediocre at best, and is designed for little kids, An eight year old should be able to handle and care for a real camera, with a bit of teaching and supervision.

Memory cards (especially the SD) are pretty cheap now. You may find a package that includes a bigger memory card, but get at least a 256 or a 512mb.

Your daughter is sure to have fun!

I would recommend a regular digital camera. Our son is 8. We gave him our old digital camera when we upgraded a few years ago. It worked out great. My wife and I are in more pictures together now! We bring it on Thanksgiving and Christmas and he gets a lot of candid shots, he stays out of trouble because he's busy having fun with the camera and the people do funny poses for him that they wouldn't otherwise do. It's nice to have some quality pictures that toys don't really give.

Go to Tandy or dick smith, or your local electronics store , and buy a kodak easyshare camera.
You will get a good digital camera and a disc with program to set up a complete photo printing/ storing/ editing/ and e-mail /plus make discs/and slideshows.
All this for under $200.00. Very easy to understand instructions.

Hi,
I shop a lot and to save time and money I use cheapest prices search engine. Almost every merchant is there and over a million consumer written reviews. You will find many other ways that will help you with questions.
You can shop online or you can go to a merchant and use the toll free phone number if you feel more comfortable shopping like that.
There are merchant reviews, over one million product reviews, compare by brand and a lot more. I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck.

There is a new one being advertised that is made by a toy manufacturer like Fisher-Price or something. It is advertised for KIDS. I don't know what kind of pictures it takes but it is supposed to be pretty durable.
