I have the Vivitar ViviCam 5195, but when you use the flash it uses a lot of battery causing you not to get enough photos? The picture quality is brilliant however you always get those demonish 'red eyes' all the time! But the price, £50 was a good deal.

What do you's think?

And if you know how to stop 'red eye' apart from using photo editing software, please tell me =)

When the people look directly at you into the lens you will always get the red eyes. Tell them to look at your shoulder or raise your hand up in the air and tell them to look at that: but never look at the lens. In answer to your other question yes it was a d@mn good buy......!

Red eye is the reflection of the flash onto the blood filled retina in the back of the eye.

That is why professional photographers have their strobes mounted high above the lens. The only sure cure (other than turning off the flash) is to move the flash high enough above the lens so the red reflection doesn't bounce right back. Sometimes turning on lots of room lights helps, or using your camera's red eye reduction mode.
Otherwise, just plan on removing it post processing.

I shop a lot and to save time and money I use cheapest prices search engine. Almost every merchant is there and over a million consumer written reviews. You will find many other ways that will help you with questions.
You can shop online or you can go to a merchant and use the toll free phone number if you feel more comfortable shopping like that.
There are merchant reviews, over one million product reviews, compare by brand and a lot more. I hope I helped you and I wish you good luck.
