I've tried..to do it..but cannot get it to go off. I have my nikond70s..and my sb-800..and i want to use 800 off camera..on a tripod. Any help..greatly appreciated. thanks..

I saw how they did that in a Nikon seminar. I'm pretty sure you have to have a flash go off on the camera to trigger the other one.

You just fit the camera on the tripod and shhot your picture. There must be a small hole for a stand beneath the camera. If you dont get it, go through the manual. If you dont have one, Search the Nikon site.

You have extensive directions in your SB-800 documentation, including illustrations for suggested set-ups.

Yes, you have to use the pop-up flash to trigger the SB-800. You have to have the SB-800 set on i-TTL.
