I've looked everywhere for this info and I've seen so many mixed reviews and I need help please. I'm new to digital cameras so I would need something fairly easy to use. My main use for the camera will be to take pics of my 2 girls. I really like the color accent feature I've seen on some but it doesn't have to be a must. I'm just looking for one that will give me great shots of my girls so that I can look at these when I'm 50 and my girls are grown and remember how they were when they were small. Thanks for any help you can give.

So I have an Olympus C-5500 zoom digital camera. I like it but it is too bulky that its hard to carry around and I like to have it with me at all times in my purse. I find it bulky and hard to use, sure I want good quality photos but there are so many different settings and pixels I simply dont have the motivation or time to figure it out...im not a photographer and am not good at figuring out electrical things. I want a good quality, small digital camera, that also takes videos, but something that wont break my bank, preferably 100-230 in price, any good suggestions??? I want a good company too..big name

Dear Friends,

I'm planning to buy a digital camera. Please help me in selecting the right one. My priorities r as follows:

1. Price: Under 15,000 INR. (+_ 500 permitted)
2. Should be capable of quality video recording.
3. Should be handy. BUT PICTURE QUALITY COUNTS ABOVE ALL.
4. Should have a bit of manual adjustments.

Please help me. I've selected a few models like CANON POWERSHOT A540, NIKON COOLPIX L5. What about SONY and KODAK?

I'll remain grateful to all of you if you please leave your valuable comments.

I definitely do NOT want a D-SLR (although I have been tempted, believe me), and I DO want something that shoots in RAW. Given all of that, what is the absolute best digital camera? Thanks!!! :)

I'd like to keep the price under $200. Don't need anything fancy, so long as it can produce clear prints up to 8x10, that'll do.
