Cameras - December 2006

I am looking to buy a digital slr camera, but I'm not sure which brand to choose from. Olympus, Canon, and Nikon are three I'm very familiar with, but there are others which I haven't yet tried. I can't go above 1000 dollars. Any experienced photographers have advice for me?

was wonderin if this digital camera was a good one or not. im looking for a reasonably priced one just for taking family pictures for putting on the computer and things like that. i would like some feedback on good brands that are not to pricey but i also dont want a cheap one thats not gonna last long either!

Hi. I'm 16 and since the adults in my family are going to be partying, I have to watch my little sis and bros and my little niece and nephew. And so my mother said that I can have a party for them on New Years eve. And so I wanted to take Polaroid pictures and post them on Green and Red Posters and adding glitter and details and things.

I'm looking for the polaroid camera where you snap the button and the picture just comes on out. and you have to fan it a while for picture to show. So,

~Where can I buy one from
~Can I purchase it from Walmart or CVS
~How much do they cost
~If so, is there anything I need to know else about it before I take Pictures

I would like to buy a Nikon Digital SLR Camera. However, I don't know which one will meet my needs. All I want is a camera that will take the highest quality photo without me having to do anything. In other words, I'm not an avid photographer and I want a camera to do all the work for me - but I don't want to overpay for features I don't need.

I currently have an Nikon N60 which I'm happy with. However, sometimes when I take action shots (e.g. someone playing sports) the camera doesn't always shoot as quickly as I would want. So, I may want a camera that is better and taking action photos.

I've looked at the Nikon website that compares cameras located here, but it is too technical for me:

I have just bought this Camera but as I live in Spain the instruction book is in Spanish. I do speak Spanish but for technical things I prefer to have them in my native language. Can anyone help please?

I got a digital rebel EOS as a gift, and I am told ti takes video but cant figure it out and I dont have a manual. Can anyone tell me if it does take video and possibly where online I can find the manual? google does not know all! :)

I have a Sony CyberShot Camera...

Basically, whenever I take a picture it starts "recording" a still movie (i think) for 5 to 10 seconds..automatically!

I don't want that to happen..I just want a picture taken not a recording too!

How do I fix that?! It automatically happens.....

The screen is just black, but it shows the menu and my previously taken photos. Whenever I take a picture, it just shows up as black? Is there something wrong with the connection between my lense and the screen?
