I'm looking for a compact digital camera that records in RAW/lossless. I want something that is comprobable to a SLR without being an SLR .. :)

The Canon G6 is one of the better point & shoots... and it just so happens to have RAW.
But please note that RAW is just one feature in a total package, and it's not really a major factor.
I bought my dSLR for the blazing AF speed, 5 frames per second, insane low light performance, razor thin depth of field, the possibility to use professional quality lens, etc. I couldn't care less about RAW files. I shoot in jpg 99% of the time ;-)

As OMG said, the Canon Powershot G6 has raw. I have it, and it is a pretty good camera. The new G7 does not have Raw.
The G6 can be found new here and there. It is slower than a SLR, though, but the pictures are good.

From my personal experience, I have a Fuji S9500 (sold as S9000 in the USA) I can warn you to stay away from this camera. It does close up work OK, but anything more than 15 feet from the camera is just not sharp and clear.

I compared mine with a work colleague's and his was slightly worse than mine.
