Whewn you upload the pics to the comp you have to go in the camera and delete them out after you are sure that you have saved them correctly. then the memory is not affected.

Your memory does not "get renewed". But you can move the pics off your memory chip/stick to your computer and thereby free up memory on your camera. Every time you copy the pics from your camera to your PC just tell your software to delete the pics off your camera (or just have a friend help you). This way you'll always have a lot of memory to take more pictures with your camera. But be careful and be sure to label your folders with the date and events the pictures were taken from or you'll have a pile of pictures and no way to find the one your looking for.

Anytime you transfer images from your digital camera to your computer, the software you are using will ask if you want to delete the images you have on your camera after transfer has been completed. So yes, the memory card you are using will be restored to zero images. You can choose to keep the images on your camera after the transfer has been comleted aswell. Most cameras support the option to lock image(s) so that they will not be deleted unless you unlock them. This is so that an image that you really want to keep on your camera does not get accidently deleted.
I am happy that you are getting a digital camera. You will habe so much fun with it! What type of camera are you getting?
One thing to take in consideration is that when shopping for a camera, do not always but the camera with the highest megapixels. Make sure to play with the camare and make sure it feels comfortable in your hands. Make sure you can use the camera without having to push a plethara of buttons in order to take 1 picture. Some cameras now have th ability to convert photos in B&W or Sepia on the camera and a bunch of other neat things. A 3 megapixel camera is more than enough to print upto 5X7's. Do not get fooled into buying a 10 megapixel camera unless you really nned that much or plan on printing photos into poster size.
Good luck!
Cheers!

Yeah....... i tried it some months back at the same time as on a paintings placement when I took the cardboard out of my Fuji Finepix A345 digital camera and stuck it in the region's Olympus SP-500uz so i ought to receive p.c.. from my digital camera for a challenge i became doing (which i became more desirable attentive to) onto their pc, for the reason that i did not have the cable to receive them without delay from my digital camera..... so had to apply their digital camera which used a similar type of card (xD) as a very intense priced memory card reader.

The memory only gets renewed if you delete them from the camera memory card after you transfer them to your computer.

You upload the pictures to your pc or put them on a disk and then delete the pictures off your camera. So yes it's like wiping your memory card clean. Least that's how mine works. :)

You have to clear the memory for it to empty out again. The pics will stay in the camera as long as you have them there for.

no, you have to delete them most of the time and if you use a memory card you really have to delete them, it's not hard.
