why wont my 2gb sd card work in my 8mp digi cam, can the camera not cope with the size?

You may have purchased the wrong type of card. SD may not be the camera's format.

My 8mp camera will only take up to 1gb, maybe yours is the same

read the instruction manual (i know it is boring) because some are not compatible with different sizes..
