Hi, my parent's just bought me this digital camera (a CANON IXUS750- has good reviews and all they say). It's not an SLR but my friends say it will do good for beginners like in digital photography. I would just want to ask if you ever know any software that teaches digital photography/ digital manipulation. Thanks!

I think she is full of it - But I got out my digital camera to take a picture of my 5 month old & she got all hysterical and said that Digital Cameras are dangerous & I am exposing her to radiation every time I use it & take pictures of her - I laughed when she said it -Cause I thought she was joking -but she swears she saw it on the news - could she have it confused with Cell-phones -cause I saw a report on that myself where they said cell-phones could be linked to tumors according to a study - But Digital Camera dont use radiation -atleast I dont think they do - What do you know about it - Do you think my friends Mom is a NUT? I do !!!

I'm not a professional photographer. I just want a camera that can take a picture even though its moving. These are the features that I want:

-Slim
-Long Battery Life
-HUGE LCD
-Great MegaPixel
-Easy to Use
-Long Lasting

Sorry, I don't know much about camera's but I have my eye on Canon SD700, but i don't know if it's worth it.

Please help this confused lady :)

I'M LOOKING FOR A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA AND A NEW CAMCORDER, I WANT A CHEAP DIGITAL CAMERA BUT A GOOD QUALITY ONE THAT CAN MAKE YOUR PICTURED NORMAL BLACK-AND-WHITE AND SEPIA. What is needed to become a professional photographer? I dont mean in terms of talent, I mean like what cameras are best, or programs (I currently have Adobe), or just materials that would make your work look professional., like those things they use for lighting . Are regular digital cameras good for this? plz help, Im determined to start taking professional photos.

I have a Sharp Hi-8 Viewcam and I want to be able to burn my movies to a DVD. I have 2 DVD Burners (in 2 different computers) On one of my computers I have Media Center with the TV Tuner and everything. Can I somehow record right from my Viewcam to my computer and then burn right to a DVD ? Thanks for any help anyone can offer. I really appreciate it.
