Ok, I will cut you this slack. You were in a hurry and you can't type. I understood your question, even though it is difficult to read with all the poor punctuation. I am sure you are a good dentist. (I hope so).

Now, to your question: Camera with Macro capability is what you need. High megapixels or low megapixels does not matter. They are only useful if you blow up the picture in an enlarger. This is not what you do. So, get one that is good quality (I have a Nikon D50). Spend a few extra bucks and you will be happy you did.

After all, it is tax deductible because you use it for work...

Many digicams have a "macro" mode that lets you take clear pictures up very close. (The ads usually show closeups of flowers or insects, but teeth will work!)

Go to a camera store and ask which ones have a macro mode. Then pick one that meets your other needs too.

Be sure that it is one that you can hold steady in the angles necessary to take pics of teeth. Some of the smaller ones may not be easy to hold steady for this use.

Place a small plano-convex (ie:magnifing glass) right on top of the camera lens. You can take clear macro photos at about six inches.

You want 5+ pixels and a macro lens for close shots.

Use Macro mode. It's the symbol that looks like a tulip. :)
