Haven't they heard of trick photography or photo/video editing programs? Both are used all the time!

I'm looking to spend up to $200. My parents had a Sony Cyber-Shot and it has not been working properly. Other than Sony, what other brands are good?

I have a digital camera. I downloaded the pics from the camera to a folder in "my pictures". When i copy and paste the pics from the folder onto a microsoft word document, instead of showing me the pic in the middle of my document it shows me the stupid icon! A jpg icon won't do me any good. I don't know why it didn't copy the actual pic. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any advice!

I have a Nikon D50 with the 15-55mm lens that came with it. I'd like to add a zoom lens (something up to around 200mm) but I can only spend up to $300. Is there a decent lens in that price range? Where's a good place to buy?

I want good image quality, creative control and a "professional looking" camera. I am going to work with it and probably sell pictures to magazines.

I need a digital camera soon, because I'm going to Paris on July 4th, and I can't go without one. I'm not going to settle for a disposable, because those don't take good pictures...ever (in my experience at least). Also, the camera could be a max of $250. I just want it to take good pictures.

I just bought an Olympus SP-310, 7.1 Megapixels.
When making a short video and transfering it to the PC, it opens Quicktime instead of Media Player. I'm used to Media Player, and would like to have the files in the MPEG format, not another.

Is it possible to change that in the camera? or must I rename each file one by one? How? Renaming by adding ".mpg" doesn't work, it still opens with Quicktime...

A lightweight (less than 12oz) compact digital camera (*not* dslr) with manual settings manual focus, 2-3 second self-timer, low noise at 400 iso, at least 5-6 megapixels resolution. Some zoom 3x or 4x or better. AA batteries powered. Camera to be used for afocal imaging.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other preferences, but not essential. Good red sensitivity (for H-alpha solar imaging). A "bulb" setting for extended exposures or option for several minutes exposure. Again these are not essential but would be helpful/useful.

I am buying a camera, however i can't decide which one to choose between the two models above. I would like to know if the photographs taken by those models are good or not (do these cameras take blurry photos?). Also, if someone knows a better model i would appreciate to know.
