Not sure of the terminology for a camera that shoots fast flash shots, but that is what I'm seeking..

For some things, you need a (digital) SLR - I suspect a short flash recycling time is one of 'em.
You could try to figure out if point & shoots that have a hot shoe (like the top end CoolPix models) work faster with an external flash. Perhaps try the forums of http://www.dpreview.com

How much do you want to spend? The Canon digital Rebel is $800.00 after rebate. It shoots with flash about as fast as you can press the button. It will give you pro quality pictures and has many great options. I use one as my back up camera in my studio. It is also the camera that I started with when I started in pro photography. There are other cameras in the $300.00 plus range the will fire the flash quickly as well but you will not have the option of adding different lenses. Get the best that you can afford.

Most new cameras, or decent cameras now have that option. Its called continuous shots, th icon is overlapping boxes. It means it just constantly snaps about 10 pics in a row.

If you dont want this, you need a professional camera which is really expensive, those kinda the fashion photgraphers use.

check out the continuous feature for your current camera if you have one.

Recharge time depends on the camera...but basically the more expensive the camera, the quicker the recharge. Go to a camera store and try each of them out.

slr camera with hotshoe will be good because u can attach external flash to it and external flash usually comes with its own batteries so you do not share battery with your camera

from experience when battery is low, flash recharge time increases too... so prepare spare batteries is another solution..
