i have an mp3 player, and the usb connector is broke, if i get another one like it, but different brand will it still work??////////

I have 720p dlp theater projector (not rear). I ahve been looking at the hd dvd and blu-ray players.

I was trying to figure out how to go about incorporating one into my theater.. whether through htpc or stand alone.

I was reading and then realized that there are only about 320 titles on each standard..

Am I better off just getting a good upconverting dvd until there are more titles available...

I use netflix for dvds and they do offer movies in hd or bd.

maybe about 2 years.. They should cost alot less by then too.

i have just recently purchased a LC-26SH12U sharp HDTV. on the box it clearly says is HD compatible. but when i plug my xbox360 into it, it screen goes black. is there some kind of special wires i must buy or something? im clueless on tv's so if anybody can look up the spec's for the tv and find me a solution. please help!!

i have a 30G iPod video that worked with my old computer that crashed. so i got a new one and uloaded all my songs to a new iTunes and it wont recognize my iPod. it says there isnt one connected under preferences thank you sooooo much:)

I have an mp4, but I use itunes, when i buy the music i have to buy it put it on a CD, then rip it to mp3 format, and that takes a while, so i was thinking of using URGE, when you buy it, can you just sync it to your mp4?? And which one has more music, URGE, or iTunes, cuz i was on URGE, and I typed in "A Bay Bay", and it said there were no titles???

My current Sony DVD/Receiver has no digital audio inputs. I have an HDTV and digital cable, and I'll be getting a PS3 in the next couple months. I'd like to take advantage of the surround sound from HD channels and the digital audio from the PS3, so that would require 2 inputs on the receiver. Bye bye DVD player/receiver that I have now....

I don't really want the receiver to have a DVD player since I'll have the PS3, but if it does, whatever. Can anyone recommend some "starter" receivers that meet my needs? Money is tight, so I say "starter' meaning nothing too over the top and expensive.

I have to burn a cd for my basketball team's warmups. I made a CD yesterday and it worked great for my computer. but whenh you put it in a cd player, which is what i need it for, all the songs sound scratchy and blurpy. you can barely recognize the song. i need this cd by like nine tonight. I am using a Monster HDMI cable and my PS3's native resolution is 1080. I've heard that the problem could be the TV, here are my TV's stats and let me know if any of these indicate why I obtain a grainy picture during blu-ray movies play. It's a Sony 40" Bravia LCD HDTVand is Full HD 1080p. The model number is KDL-40V2500. It has a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 7000:1 & Native On-Screen Contrast Ratio of 1300:1. A bit of the socket on some TV's and other equiptment have a little piece of plastic cutting in on the straight side, which allow normal scart sockets to fit, but not these adapters.

So I recently bought Insignia 5.1 home theatre speaker system which to my surprise only came with 5 speakers and one subwoofer lacking the DVD player. I have one Sony single disc DVD player DVPNS55P/B which has only two RCA sockets (L and R) in the back. Is it feasible to hook up my 5 Speakers and 1 sub cables to the DVD player wihthout separately buying the 5.1 channel box. Thanks

I have everything in place (finally) for my home theater except for a sub-woofer. I will have 5 Klipsch Synergy SLX speakers for front l/r, center and surround. I have decided on the Onkyo TX SR605 receiver. Do I need to stick with a Klipsch Synergy series sub - the reviews I have read on the 10 and 12 are not great. How important is the quality of the sub to the rest of my system?
