i had my slvr for like 1 year and now it wont turn on the only time it turns on is when i charge it and when i take the charger out it turns off and i cant turn it back on i need help!!

My wife had a 5 MP Sony that seems to miss some of the really good photo opportunities our 11 month old twins produce. It's tough to get them both doing the same thing at the same time, and right now we tend to see alot of pictures where their movements cause blurriness. Also the delay between taking one picture and the next is an issue.

We saw an ad for a Canon SLR digital with a second lens and a camera bag for $799 I think. Just wondering what advice anyone out there could provide. My wife is not overly technical, but if it's not too complicated we would like to buy an SLR or at least a camera with the same functions. A camera with an upgradeable lens would be nice too as the twins get older.

i recorded stuff on a dvd-ram and now want to watch it on my dell laptop computer during a 12 hour car ride but the dvd-ram wont play on my computer. i know i need to finalize the dvd, but my dvd recorder wont let me finalize anything except dvd-r. is there any way to watch the dvd-ram on my computer?

ok i just got the game final fantasy tactics [[ebay]] my friend let me borrow his brand new ps2 cause he has 3 so will final fantasy tactics work on ps2--it's the original one the one that came out in 1998 on ps1 will it work??

Should the hole be facing towards the listeners or should the big round speaker thing on the side be facing the listeners?
On the back panel of the sub it says 80 watts and the little speakers 20 watts each, theres 5 of them

just got BT connected to my new house, and they claim everything is working fine. but when i plug into the master phone point, nothing. the phone definately works but need to make sure the wiring off the incoming cable is correct. dont want to be stuck with a rip off call out charge.

How do you tell when the battery is fully Charged. Do you have to wait until it gets warm or very hot. How hot or warm should it get after taking it off charge?

I just bought a 57" 1080p DLP TV and upgraded to HDTV through Directv. Obviously I want the absolute best picture I can get out of my investment. Do I need to get a Category 2 HDMI cable? The HDMI cable I use now (that came with the Directv box) is 4' long.

Im getting ready to embark on a 7 hr flight , i despise flying and im 6ft 7 so its very uncomfortable , im planning on buying a portable DVD for the flight to occupy my mind but i dont want to spend an arm and a leg for it since it wont be used but occasionally , plus how long do the batteries normally last , should i carry extras etc , all help will be appreciated

Hi,I have an inexpensive Armitron watch that is plastic like and it has the 4 buttons on the edges. Mode, Adj, st/sp, el ????????? go figure for a 56 year old, but I'm sure there are like a billion of you out there who can do this while you are sleeping. I've only had watches like set the moving hands :) So I want to set the alarm or use it like a timer, set for 15 minutes and an alarm goes off. Can I do this and how, thanks I"ll help you with history questions back to 1950 :)

I would like to get into amateur photography. Nothing too artsy, and nothing for profit (unless the opportunity presented itself, of course). I currently own a Sony DSC-S40, and while it's a great camera, it's not what I need for what I would like to do.

I would like something that offers a nice zoom, allows B&W/Sepia/Color shooting, flash, and a higher resolution. Preferably something in the $1000 range or under.

There was a song that is absolutley NOT available anywhere in the world on CD (I don't know why because it is a well known and famous song (in the UK)). I recorded it from an official site (yes, legally and paid for!) onto my PC, then transfered it to the CD-R, but it doesn't play on my hi-fi. What have I done wrong?

(I know that it can work, because I know people have (illegally) recorded from the internet onto CD-R and then played it on their hi-fi)
