i recorded stuff on a dvd-ram and now want to watch it on my dell laptop computer during a 12 hour car ride but the dvd-ram wont play on my computer. i know i need to finalize the dvd, but my dvd recorder wont let me finalize anything except dvd-r. is there any way to watch the dvd-ram on my computer?

DVD-ram is incompatible with standard DVD drives, so no there is no way to watch it on your laptop.

DVD-RAM was an alternative format to DVD-R and DVD+R. As you are finding out, DVD-RAM lost and not many players will support that format anymore.

I don't know any thing about DVD-RAM and i have never herd of them. I would say use DVD-R, but you can't erase them.
