Im an Electrical eng in college and working on someting.Does anyone know a way to make something power surge like a tv. Im doing an expirement and can not find any info on how you can cause one.

Any high Inductive circuit frequently switched on / off a spike of surge produced in that particular circuit. (A power contactor relay) Same way ‘’ load through off’’ pump motor started, Hand drilling machine produce more surge or a electrical welding work started with transformer like etc. If you connect an Oscilloscope in the same power supply you can find the surge in screen. For removing the surge you have to connect series inductor parallel capacitor ( you can design suitable as per ur requirement) .If the surge is small transsorbs (surge suppressors ) can help. olden days armature type calling bell can produce too much surge in circuit.
