I am looking to buy a new computer and they all come with Vista now. Do I need to go out and buy Microsoft Office again or will it be compatible? I really don't want to have to spend another $149 on top of the price of the computer! Thanks!

I've downloaded quite a few free photoediting programs... but nothing that helps me edit the background properly. Or maybe I am just too impatient? I need to change the background of ONE photo so I don't really want to pay for it! If anyone can recommend a good editing program that they KNOW will help me in editing my background, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

I've tried Picasa and photoshop (the free version is extremely limited in features).

I'm using Microsoft Word 2003 to write a term paper. However, my professor requires that we use Arial 10 pt font for the paper. When I print the paper, however, it looks unusually thick compared to the sample she gave us. Is there a way to make arial 10 pt point less dark and thick w/o changing the font size!! Thanx!!

When we click on the icon which marks the word document with black marks (identifying tabs, spaces, paragraphs etc.) Sometimes there is a sign of an arrow (mostly for tab) which points towards right, down and a little bit left. those signs are not exactly end of paragraphs but are really annoying if already present in the file.
There is a way to replace all by typing something and replacing that specific thing with something else. we could apply "replace all" even for spaces. But how do we do "replace all" for those little annoying arrows...(i have tried it...doesn't work...even for paragraph signs)

I have a 30 page word document (MS Word 2003). There is a cover page on the 1st page and a table of contents on the second. I would like page numbers to start on the 3rd page. In other words, the 3rd page would have "Page 1" in the footnotes, 4th would have "Page 2" in the footnotes, etc. Could someone please help with this??
