Assuming the file you want to convert is loaded....
Click on the File menu and select Save As....
Should bring up a window where you can enter the file name near the bottom. Below that will be a file type. Change that to jpeg or gif or whatever file type you want to save it as.

If you just want to convert the image from one file format to another then you could use a batch conversion.
In older versions of paintshop pro there was an option in the file tab and you could convert either one or a numerous amount of images from one format to another but i don't know if that option has been taken out of newer versions of the software.
I don't know what version your using because you haven't said but i'd look for that option to see if it's there.

File, Save As and change the file type from psp to jpeg or gif. Theyre in the list of options. Or, if you've already saved as a psp, you can rightclick on the icon, down to rename and if you've called it photo, for instance, just change it to photo.jpeg.

when you click 'save as' go to the drop down panel beneath the file name and select the format you want to save it as or type '.jpeg' or '.gif' after the file name

when you afve it,click the dop down box right under the name that you wanna save it as
then just look for whatever type you want
