Hi,
The sound files were linked is the reason. If the sound files were WAV format then go to PowerPoint's preferences. On the General tab look for the setting for audio file sizes that will be linked. Make that number larger than the largest file size you included. Then your sounds will be embedded, not linked.
If your sounds are any other format than WAV and you are using a Mac, then read on. Otherwise click the Source Link for an explanation for PowerPoint for Windows.
Make your presentation as you normally would with links. When it's all done use File > Save As and choose the file type PowerPoint Package (this feature is not available in PowerPoint for Windows).
PowerPoint will make a folder that contains a copy of your presentation along with copies of all the media files (audio and video) that are linked to the presentation. The new copy of your presentation will have all the proper links to the media that was copied into the new Package folder.
To distribute the presentation distribute the entire PowerPoint Package folder, not just the presentation file. To make it easier to email you can right-click on the Package folder in Finder and Compress it or make an Archive of it, which makes a ZIP file that you can email (if it's not too big!).

No. Open your powerpoint report, click report shop AS. click the down arrow beside "shop as report form" and then go with "Microsoft Powerpoint ninety seven/2000/XP (.ppt) option and then positioned it on your flashpersistent. in case you do no longer, then your instruct won't have the skill to study it. Your instructor has to have the striking application to open the report. once you go with the powerpoint option, you're saving the report interior the Powerpoint format so as that persons with Powerpoint application can open it.

Maybe because you haven't copied the sound files (mp3, wav or whatever) to the new computer along with the powerpoint .ppt file.

Maybe it is because the music format is either not familiar with the computer, or you have not updated that computer and it is a piece of crap.
