does ne body know how to get my music files back???

I have to do some house cleaning on my grandmas computer tomorrow so I was wondering what folders I can delete and which would be better not to.

Usually I don't mess with anything having to do with Windows, but there are two folders marked Windows on that computer that I'm wondering if they would be safe to delete. The first one is on the c drive, and is labeled Windows 98. Since the computer is running XP is that safe to delete or does it still need to be there in order for the OS to run?

The second folder is marked Windows in My Documents. I'm wondering if that one would be safe to delete as well.

Anyway, maybe those questions sound stupid, but I make absolute sure before I mess with any stuff like that. My computer is running XP and has neither of those folders so I don't think they are necessary but you can never be too careful.

I hate windows vista, it starts up slow, and is very buggy It came preinstalled and I would prefer XP. I HP Pavillion dv6000. Will I have hardware or other problems if I install XP?

What I want to do is to install windows vista on top of it, or if possible format windows xp, so that I can install a fresh copy of vista onto it, any suggestions, or links you can point me to to try and solve this

This is something similar to HLOOKUP and VLOOKU, the trouble is my values aren't in any order so LOOKUP would return the first of possibly several values that match the criteria.

For example: Sheet 1 has 3 columns - A is Date, B is Total 1 and C is Total 2. The date column is sequential, the total columns are random numbers. On sheet 2 I use the Large function to return the largest value from a range within the Total columns (B1:C10 for example). How would I return a value from the same row but a different column (e.g. if the largest value in B1:C10 was C6, how would I return A6).

When I first boot up my computer, and everything in the system tray has loaded.

If I click on a program, my computer, firefox, music, anything!
It says I do not have the right privledges to access them.

I am the administrator, and I think a virus/reg file has caused this to happen, but i have scanned my computer with Spybot, Adaware and Avast.

Once I wait about 20 seconds. It comes good and everything works.
But thats not the point, it shouldnt come up with those messages in the first place.

Any Ideas to what could be causing this problem.
Only happens once first booted (from a cold start), and it has happened ever since I bought a $40 wireless USB PC Lock (Brand Name 'Laser'), Which I uninstalled and did a system restore because I think it is the cause of it!

Help much appreciated.

When I go into a chat room it's very slow, is there a fix for it? I have a G5 quad core with 4GB of ram and 5 raptor X hard drives, so speed is not an issue.

problem: strange, but after using this stupid programme for 250,000 years (it seems) I now find myself with a plain text document for which the programme will NOT let me change the size of the font. I can change the font itself, but the size remains fixed.
It can't be the programme, as other documents allow me to change font sizes, so it must be some option selected for the document itself.
ANY IDEAS?

I'm working on a massive spreadsheet, and would like to have a couple of different Fill Bucket buttons, one to quickly shade a row green, another to quickly shade it as "no fill". But I don't believe it's possible to have multiple instances of a button in MS Office. Is it?
