I scan 30 pages and it gives me 1.75MB. I have gotten files from other people with 30 pages and the size of the file is a lot smaller. Any advice?

Thanks, it did work. I got the resolution to 100 and the text was very unclear. So I moved it up to 150, much better now. The file is a lot smaller.

Use a lower resolution. 100 dpi should do the trick. If you're scanning text, make sure you are generating 1-bit black and white images. Grayscale would be 8-bit. Color is 24-bit.

Check the quality settings in the scanner software. The lower the quality of the scan, the smaller the file will be. Most scanners default to a high quality, assuming that you are doing color pictures. If you are only scanning text, you can usually greatly reduce the quality setting without affecting the readability of the scan. My scanner actually has a "black and white document" setting that I use regularly.

to shrink the size of checklist, you may pass to Microsoft image supervisor between the component to Microsoft after so you might use to shrink it. And if the record is in KB then its ok regardless of if it somewhat is in MB then its length is large. it rather is the reason, use Microsoft image supervisor its ultimate to shrink length of test checklist.
