Why do you want to get rid of it? It is applying updates to your machine at a time that isn't going to cause you any bother cos you have turned your machine off. Not applying updates leaves your machine less secure.

If you really don't care about security go to control panel, system, automatic updates and turn them off

I agree with the other Yahooligans, activate auto updates, and punch the YES button when it pops up!

But, I also run 35 different OSes, and 34 of them are FREE!
