my broadband connection (reliance)says that I used about 2GB last month,but DUmeter(a sofware)says 700MB,which is right?is there any other software for me to measure downloading&uploading daily and able to give me the result at any time(in DU meter I can see the down&up daily,weekly or monthly)...hope u do

I am trying to back up some files that I have place on my harddrive. I have tried placing them at two different locations to see if it's the location from where I am saving them from that was causing me the trouble, but no chance. I am trying to backup from Windows Backup to do this and I can't use anything else, because that's what my Assignment strictly sais. I got told to use a CD-RW instead as the backup has trouble with a CD-R, still no luck. I then googled it a bit and found that I should format the CD-RW first before the backup. It IS a blank disk afterall...so haven't tried that yet (I know that to format media is to prepare the media for use with a particular file system, and the format of the disk is different to the operating systems file format). The error I get is; "The backup file name could not be used. "I:\ICAS2017A.bkf", Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have sufficient access". I AM an administrator, not networked..NO IDEA! Please help anybody??

my laptop is a tablet pc and I downloaded "My Font Tool for Tablet PC", where you write in all the letters, numbers, and symbols and then you safe it as a font in your Microsoft Word. Well after I filled everything out I tried hitting "Install this Font on This Computer" and a box popped up saying: The font file could not be installed. There may be a conflict with an existing font, or you may not have the proper permissions necessary to install a font on this computer. It is my computer so what should I do? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

My explorer keeps shutting down after I install messenger 8 in my computer,I have re-install,I have clicked on "allow to run" due to vista security fire walls and it still meeses up my explorer and it shuts it down automatically and tries to open it up again and it does not work....any help greatly appreciated!!

I recently got a different computer and when I bring up the internet, it shows it in the center of the page. I have it set to go on full screen and it does cover the full screen, but the internet web pages are all in the center of the web screen. How do I fix this so that the web page will be as big as the rest of the screen?

If i were to play Battlefield 2 or sims2 when the appilication starts it makes a clicking noise and it starts to freeze up or bog down and it would countinue to do this till it restarts on its own. I have already recently bought a new hardive and i had the same problem with the new one. I have even tried wiping it clean and starting everything over and it still is happening. help would be appreciated thanks.=)

i read the comments frist to c if the program is good and stuff but when i download it i dont understand how to use the path,or keygun or wtv its called plzzz someone helpppi downloaded dvdfab and it says its the trial virson and i need a serial code, so i ask this guy and he told me the patch should take care of that but i have no clue how that thing workds :S

Yeah I know that they are 'saving my settings' but they aren't MY settings. I don't conciously make changes to my system every time I use my computer so why do I have to wait while 'settings' are being saved?

I gues my point is that they are NOT my 'settings'. So who's 'settings' are being saved and for what purpose? It certainly isn't my choice and it isn't benefitting me in any way and its very very annoying.

Software is mostly developed to benefit the software makers and the myriad advertisers out there, not the users. Agree? Disagree?

I don't want the Myspace IM to pop up EVERY time something happens, like when I get new mail or whatever.

Someone said that they pressed Start > Run > msconfig > Startup and simply unchecked the Myspace IM.

Well I went there but I couldn't find anything that said that! What do I do?

I have DVDs that I have bought in Australia, these are region 2, 4, or 2/4. I also bought some DVDs from Amazon that are region 1. My DVD ram driver in my Laptop is now fixed on Region 1, and does not operate on my australian DVDs, I have heard there are softwares that reset the driver, what is the software's name and where can I get it?

Hi all, this is my first question. When downgrading my Vista Basic and storing my files onto a disk, is it imperative that i store major Microsoft and Windows files like system 32 and fonts, or are these likely to remain after the downgrade?
