I have DVDs that I have bought in Australia, these are region 2, 4, or 2/4. I also bought some DVDs from Amazon that are region 1. My DVD ram driver in my Laptop is now fixed on Region 1, and does not operate on my australian DVDs, I have heard there are softwares that reset the driver, what is the software's name and where can I get it?

If you have changed the region code before then is probably set to that region. You can only change it so many times.

You could try fixing this problem from another direction. Rather than changing your dvd player, just copy your dvd. There is an option that allows you to remove the region code from the copy before you burn it. Without the region code in place the DVD will work on any region DVD.

Your new copy will be playable in any region-locked dvd player.

Cheers!

It depends upon your DVD player, not any driver. Some DVD players let you reset the region code a limited number of times. Others let you change an unlimited number of times. Some never let you change. Search the web for your favorite brand.

Officially you can't, after five switches it is stuck.

You can get software to get around the region coding though. That's at the other end of a google search.
