Just saw another lame Mac commercial (don't start, I use BOTH Mac and PC) trying to claim folks aren't liking Vista and downgrading back to XP. Hmmm, Vista's working fine for me. How about you?

I just bought a brand new PC, so everything's working except my scanner... I just plugged that into one of my other machines and it's not a prob.

Honestly, I am one of those people who used Vista and then "upgraded" to XP. The commercial sounded exactly like what I had gone through.

Since the switch back I have had none of the blue screens (or compatibility issues) I had on Vista. I have a custom build and tried everything to stop the blue screens back then, including several clean reinstalls. I'm now going on 4 months of no-hassle computing with XP; my longest stretch on Vista before it started blue screening couldn't have been more than a month and a half.

Come to think of it, I told Apple Customer service about this when I was trying to get the back iTunes videos I lost in the switch. Maybe my comment (among others) inspired the commercial.

So the answer is no, I am not satisfied with Vista. I'm planning on getting a new laptop or Tablet PC sometime after next summer; I might go with Vista for that. Maybe it'll be smoothed out by then.

I'm actually one of those people that downgraded to back to XP, but for the two weeks I used Vista I didn't think it was horrible, just slow. I really liked the way it looked and how things were organized and such. Also I hear it has much better security and I had no compatibility issues. It was however running a bit slower then XP was and I get annoyed when everything isnt snappy so I switched back. I'll definately be going back to Vista soon, probably once I can afford to upgrade some parts of my computer. People need to start getting used to it though because after 2009 XP will no longer be supported and will become a thing of the past. Nothing annoys me more then the people who sit on forums and whine about how crappy Vista is and how theyre cooler then everyone else because they arent conforming. Vista is the best OS Windows has released it's just going to take some time for the hardware standards and capabilities to catch up enough for it to run smoothly.

It works fine and I am satisfied, there are some issues but as more people adopt Vista they'll be fixed(OS with the majority of the market share gets the most attention, and yes, it includes hackers too).

peolpe dont like vista cause their old programs ddont work on it. vista is a step towards getting rid of bad written programs that cause ur puter to crash. most people should have a dual boot for vista/XP.
