I am using Limewire. It will show the songs in the search result window but when i hit download it will not download the song. Nothing appears in the download window. I have changed the internet settings and everything.

If it doesn't appear in the download window, it has nothing to do with firewalls or internet connections. It's just a defective Limewire installation.

Yes it's not a firewall or antivirus type issue. Have you checked in the "download" section of the options in Limewire - are they set to reasonable values i.e. number of simultaneous downloads is >0 and bandwidth is at a reasonable setting. Do you mean when you hit download, the download window open but you're not seeing any activity? And no error messages? It does sound unusual, maybe, as already mentioned, you just need to re-install.

If you are using CareBear, as your ID says, that may be your problem. Besides, downloading copyrighted material is illegal. CareBear, Limewire, etc. are all potential adware and virus hosts.

put your firewalls back up. and download songs off what? what program?

dont unblock firewalls,, ull get a virus 4 sure!
