Go to the McAfee site and look for their removal tool. To prevent a virus from being able to remove McAfee from a PC, they require you to download a special tool to remove it. Otherwise a virus could just uninstall it. You will need to know the version of the program you are using to get the right uninstaller.

You have to go to my computer/ Program Files, and delete the folder that says mcafee. Delete everything off your desktop. This should help if you already deleted it from add/remove programs.

You'll need to reformat your PC.the damn McAfee has actually bounded to your registry,no other way.better backup your pc before you format your pc.

P.S.-Never use a free Anti-Virus,it's the worst thing you can do to ruin your PC.Better buy a reputed brand such as NOD32 or Norton 2007
