i'm assuming you in undemanding terms % to apply one gadget in this, maximum modems will in undemanding terms enable one, so which you will no longer use the LAN and USB. Many modems do no longer realize the substitute-over from USB to LAN. you're able to skill down the computer. Then unplug any skill to the modem (switching off a powered modem would not artwork, that is going to be unplugged). Disconnect it from the line and the USB. circulate away it down for 30 seconds or extra. Then connect it to the line, and if it has its' very own skill plug the skill in. Then connect the LAN cable to it and skill up the computer. in simple terms right click your community connection, then opt for homes and circulate to tcp/ip homes. those could ALL be set to computerized. you're able to then log into the modem as defined on your handbook, and consider that its' connection info are set. This calls to your ISP login person call and password. If it is right you're able to have a connection. i come across those modems with USB are adverse in overall performance, and can routinely replace them with a dsl router. in case you do desire to apply extra beneficial than one gadget with this, you will could purchase a router.

It could've been that your program was turned off so it didn't record the amount. Make sure it starts with windows so it records every amount going out(uploading) and coming in(downloading)

Google BitMeter and download. You enter your monthly allowance from your ISP, the date you want it to start from then all you have to do is check it periodically to see your usage. Its great.
