So I just get off the phone with Microsoft and they tell me they just implemented a new rule where your original hard drive you got with the computer is the only drive you can have XP installed on. I got a new hard dive like two years ago, and they tell me I can use it anymore, and they want $100 to make the software "genuine" again, Im sorry this is ******* bullshit!

I want to be able to use my small TV remote control for my laptop that has a fast infrared port built in. I'm looking for like a free basic software to let me control my powerpoint, windows media player, etc.. I tried using IrDA Remote Control and it only let me program one button.

I have just brought a new pc with Vista pre-installed and i dont want it anymore. I have already formatted the hard drive and put in the Windows XP disk. However when XP setup runs i just get a blue screen saying unable to continue. Im assuming this is because all the hardware is vista compatible only but is there anything i can do in the BIOS maybe to get XP working? Any help would be appriciated.

For like telephone numbers, they start with 0, so say if i wanted to type the number 07771111111 then when i type that into a cell the 0 goes and im left with a telephone number that reads 7771111111. I want the 0 to stay, how do i do this?

I have to create a help command word doc and the only way I know how to merge it is to use the external data feature. This turns the word doc into a table and I need it to show as a word doc, not a table in the switchboard.

I need to create documents and print them. Every time I try using my wordperfect it say its not responding. I have deleted it and reinstalled but I still get the same problem. Is there some kind of free program out there that I can use? Or can anyone tell me how to fix my wordperfect? I am using windows XP if that helps.
