Can anybody tell me some pros and cons about Window Vista Home Basic?

Vista Home Basic is just that, basic. No frills windows. If your running XP now, you would be well served to keep it. I have Vista Home Premium, I just formatted my hard drive and re-installed XP. I was having lots of problems with my new sound card. My microphone would not put even enough volume out to use it in games. Microsoft failed to put a microphone boost in Vista. Just a complaint, but I had it installed for 3 weeks and had to re-install it twice due to it not booting up right. I'll eventually re-install it, after I stew a bit, but expect to have problems with drivers, it's just the nature of the new operating system.

Pros:
Its still vista, and it looks better.
Cons:
Not much security
Doesn't have windows aero
Doesn'thave much entertainment stuff
