Can Windows98 read NTFS files on a hard drive? If not, would Windows Explorer in W98 even see the drive?

This assumes the drive was formatted on a machine using Windows 2000 or newer.

I downloaded a couple of videos and I'd like to burn them in a CD. I tried a couple of times with the programs already on my computer with no luck, so I installed a try out version of this DVD burner program called 'Cheetah DVD burner' and once again when I tried watching the videos on my TV they wouldn't show, I tried on my computer too and the samething happend. Does anyone know how to be able to burn this videos in a CD? Do I have to convert them in some other format or something? Please help...

Ok so I get a virus called virtumonde and for the love of god i just cant get rid of it. It has already done to much damage. AND TRUST ME!!! i have run every virus scan imaginable. Over 30 and over 10 online virus scans. I have read forum after forum going into safe mode and even editing the registry and this bad boy is still here. So anyway i figure its time to wipe and reload problem is i dont have the XP cd. I have my code on the side of my box with the xp serial code but i just dont have the actual XP cd. So i have heard that you can create one XP cd straigh from the computer itslef but i dont know how to do it. Can anyone help a guy out...?

Programs i have tried:(some of them)
Spysweeper, Spybot, Kaspersky, SuperAntivirus, Virtumod Remover, Windows One Live care, AVG, Registry Cleaner, Dr WebCureit, Rootkit Revealer, Symentac Pro, Ewindo, ATF cleaner, Noadware 5.0, and much MUCH more... It just keeps comming back over and over again.... I want to start over...

So far I've tried (and paid for ) 2 softwares that claims to retrieve items deleted from your recycle bin and no luck. I don't want to waste anymore money. Is there anyone who has "successfully" retrieved items from their recycle bin they've deleted? If so, please share with me how you've accomplished this and/or which software you've used. Thanks!

i have tried starting in SAFE MODE and deleting through start and it wont delete, i even did system restore to hours ago and IT STILL WONT UNISTALL!!! when i try thru my little measures it always says path of installation not found operation aborted...PLEASE HELP! i am really not that good at computers so try to explain in a easy to understand version, and by the way it was SUPPOSE to be a very safe and highly rated casino, according to yahoo answers, but apparently it isnt so great after all....HELP!

here goes. I was trying to boot up my computer a couple weeks ago, and lo and behold I got an error *mind you it is almost 6 years old* so here goes, I try to do a system recovery *it tells me that hal.dll is missing or dammaged, so I run chkdsk and it locks up at 25% saying that "Primaster hard disk S.M.A.R.T. contains 1 or more unrecoverable problems" now the hard disk may or maynot be bad but all I want to know is is there a way to copy hal.dll to my system files *I have tried the copy command with no luck*so that I can back up my pictures and files or am I screwed?

hey, i own windows xp 2005 media center. now, you know how when u hit start then programs it comes up with all ur programs and stuff right? and u know once u get like 50 programs or so it starts a new column? yeah, well i have like fricking 110 or whatever programs BUT it never started a new column, instead it gives me this arrow, that when i mouseover it takes me up and down which i hate, id rather just have 3 columns with like 50 on each column, now i know theres a pc geek like me reading this who knows what im talking about. anyway, bottom line HOW DO I CHANGE IT SO I GET THE COLUMNS BACK??? its driving me crazy, if someone could just drop me a line here on how to do this step by step that would be sweet. thx.
