hey, i own windows xp 2005 media center. now, you know how when u hit start then programs it comes up with all ur programs and stuff right? and u know once u get like 50 programs or so it starts a new column? yeah, well i have like fricking 110 or whatever programs BUT it never started a new column, instead it gives me this arrow, that when i mouseover it takes me up and down which i hate, id rather just have 3 columns with like 50 on each column, now i know theres a pc geek like me reading this who knows what im talking about. anyway, bottom line HOW DO I CHANGE IT SO I GET THE COLUMNS BACK??? its driving me crazy, if someone could just drop me a line here on how to do this step by step that would be sweet. thx.

Right click on "all programs" and select "properties > customize > advanced" and the remove the check mark by "scroll programs".

Heya good question!

It is easy to fix thankfully!

go to start, settings , control panel

Go to taskbar and start menu

at the top click the "start menu" tab

next the choice selected in middle.. start menu or classic start menu click "Customize" button

uncheck "scroll programs"

this should do the trick!
