Last night my second hard drive crashed and All the information was deleted (i know not really deleted) but the indexing was erased... I found the files using some buy now software that lets you look before you buy, and it;s there, but i don't want to pay 100.00 for it, has anyone found some freeware/shareware that will do it, or if i have to i can buy some, but the cheaper ther better.

Outlook Express opens when I click the icon as usual. Then it flashes the 'downloading mail' message forever, but nothing gets through. I am on line. I can go to Internet Explorer to surf the web. Just no mail.

I have Windows Media Edition on my computer, but I have some Microsoft word programs pre-installedon here like the processor and spreadsheet. (I think?)..... BUT I NEED the whole office programs like (office 2003, excel, access, and powerpoint) for my school assignments. I downloaded a free trial of these programs but it will be expiring soon. I would like to know, if I want to buy the program itself from the store, which version do I buy? The full or upgrade version, or do they have a student/teacher version which is cheaper? I was told that these programs should be on my computer already, but I haven't found them anywhere. I tried looking..I think??? I just see my free ones that I downloaded. I'm REALLY confused and all help is appreciated. PLEASE explain things as simple as possible because I have no knowledge of computers at all. Thanks.

My computer is taking a long time to boot up when it is on the desktop. Icons don't show up quickly, and start menu doesn't show up for a long time either. IE 7.0 was also unable to be installed. VERY, VERY frustrated what to do now?

My laptop display an error message saying that it couldn't load windows because the file is either corrupted or damaged...its also asking to repair it using an original windows setup cd...is there anything else i can do ? what would happen to all the files that are on the hdd?? i recently upgraded my Dell laptop to Vista, theres been a few compatibility problems and now i want to go back to XP, would a system restore or even factory restore fix this? If not, how would i go about un-intsaling Vista?

I didnt recieve any XP instalation disks with it, and i dont intend to buy any.

i downloaded POP T2T and was extracting and at about 70% 2 errors occured one was there wasnt enough disk space(but i had 6 gb free space) and the other one was that only "Write error: Only NFTS file systems can support files larger than 4gb
( i was using WinRAR)

instead of playing the mov file I downloaded, I get a dancing semi-stripper(some oriental chick) dancing to music. No matter what file I download, I get the same result via real player or quicktime. My default player is mediaplayer. Any suggestions to fix this?

Today..i clicked on one .pif file.I think that was a Boot Sector Virus.After that my escape button has stopped working & Pc has become very slow .Finally i took the decision to FORMAT my PC but during the FORMAT i am getting the prompt that "Press 'escape' to install a fresh copy of XP" again i become helpless. Plz help....

It's got to show that I can use powerpoint, when presenting it we also have to stand infront of the class, talking about the presentation.
