What is the best anti-virus software? Cause i just bought a new laptop and the free trial of norton anti-virus was over and i am planning to use a new and good software. (Not norton anti-virus because it makes my com so slow when trying to shut down). I would like a software that do not need to pay monthly fee or if possible a very good free anti-virus software.

when I right click on it and select DELETE, about 10 seconds later i get a pop-up that says Access Denied: Program may be in use..... I have verified that the program is not running and not being used by another program.

My question is: supposedly, there is a program called something like Unblocker.exe, that forces termination of a program so that it may be deleated. Does anyone know what this program is called?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i recently downloaded an add on for one of my players and stupidly didnt read the service agreements and now i have this stupid bundle of programs installed about getting rid of spyware i managed to uninstall everything apart from this one call "System Alert" when i go to remove programmes and click uninstall it doesnt do anything and none of my spyware prgrams will get rid of it any ideas please help!!?

I have just recently started scanning documents wirelessly into my computer for editing, cropping, and other modifications before placing them into other sites, e.g. Family Tree Maker, and to the web into web based programs. However, when I scan the image, I never know where the picture is going. I need a simple program that will accept the images directly from the scanner, allow simple editing, and then export the modified image in various forms, e.g. JPEG, TXT, and other formats (with a choice of formats, if possible. ("Paint" does not do it; its images are so large in size, even at the smallest size (100%) that they cannot be worked on.) Does such a program exist? (Maybe I have it and don't know it.) Any other tips regarding what I want to do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think something is wrong with my computer. It's a minor error, but it's still an annoyance.

Sometimes when a website is using javascript to open a new window, when I click a link nothing happens. When I hover over a link, my browser says "javascript;" or something like that, that's what's leading me to think it's a javascript issue

I don't have a pop up blocker or anything like that, and it happens on both firefox and internet explorer.

How do I fix this? I've tried up grading java, but it didn't work. I'm kinda clueless.

I deleted ProSavage. Thats the colo program on your coputer that sets if you have 16 color bit and sutff. If you know how, please tell me. My computer looks very corrupt!! The only color option I have is 16 color bit. PLZ Help!!!!
