Well, nothing really happens to you. I am not exactly sure about everything, but i know that when you send an error report it sends a detailed report about the non-responsive program and the error. What Microsoft is supposed to do is to examine your error report and try to make updates and patches to fix the problem if a lot of people have the same error. Whether they do it or not i dont know. I never send them because it just wastes time. I really dont think it makes a difference.

If you are referring to the Microsoft Windows notification that a program is not responding, and then you shut it down and you get an option to send a report to microsoft, then your PC will generate what's called a program trace dump and ship it off to microsoft so they can see what state the program was in when things went wrong. Sometimes it'll help them find and fix a problem.

Wow that was a really LONG sentence but I don't want to go back and edit, so bear with me. :-)
