My computer is taking a long time to boot up when it is on the desktop. Icons don't show up quickly, and start menu doesn't show up for a long time either. IE 7.0 was also unable to be installed. VERY, VERY frustrated what to do now?

First do a AD-aware scan on your pc. If you dont have it then get it, install it run it, remove what it finds..

Next go to control panel add-remove programs, uninstall what your not using anymore. reboot.

If that still dont work, click start run, type in msconfig click start up, and uncheck what you dont want to boot when you start your pc, (windows messanger and other programs). Dont uncheck what you dont know what it is, as it could be your virus software, or other needed programs...
