Its driving me nuts,i might as well have no cddrive.

I've got the odd cd to work but most of the time it cant recognise that i've inserted a cd,
When i check for problems it tells me everything is ok.

Any help is appreciated.

Okay. I downloaded Gladiator from U torrent and it says it has completed downloading. But when open the folder I see no video file!! It says ' seeding ' now! I've already wasted 27 hrs on it and and now it says another 27 hrs!!! What am I supposed to do?

I've downloaded my .iso file from Azureus. (Which happens to be Rollercoaster Tycoon 2) In the instructions, it says that I need to mount "rct2.iso" using Alcohol 120%, then place "rct2.exe" in the installation directory. What exactly do these mean and how do I do them?

Hi im using a HP with Windows XP for some reason the Disk cleanup option says "scanning: compress old files" for hours i have left it on for over 24 hours and nothing appears. It looks as if it is working but there is no end to its scanning . i have a lot of memory used up but it i dont think that it should take that long for my drive to find files to compress. any suggestions?

Whenever I download a movie the sound is off from the picture. they never play at the same time. the sound is never in sync with the picture. Any computer I use does this. Even my brand new laptop. music Videos are okay. just movies wont play correct when downloaded. When I play a dvd its fine. someone help me please.

I'm in Windows XP and I'm trying to copy the filenames from documents in my folder so that I can paste the filenames (not the files themselves) into Word. I know about using alt +printscreen to take a snapshot, but I need it as editable text. I also know about copying the filenames one by one but this is too slow. I have also used TreesizePro in the past to do this but the free version doesn't allow you to do it.

For some reason, i cant use any "Microsoft management console" stuff. Everytime i try to open administrative tools like Disk Defrag or Performance, i get an error window that syas, "MMC cannot open file C:\WINDOWS\system32\dfrg.msc.

This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file."

this has never happened before. What can i do to use disk defrag? any help would be appreciated. Thank You
