What is the best FREE alternative to Photoshop for poster/leaflet design work and/or photo editing.

I currently use MS Picture It. Are there any other good, free programs that I could use? Downloadable would be perfect, but not essential.

i have to do a list up to around 700 but surely i dont have to sit there typing in tall the numbers!!? help!? basically i just want to number each row (but i cannot use the numbering already provided on the side of the spreadsheet)

I want to know if there is a way to remove a program from add/remove programs without actually uninstalling it.

Also, Can I remove or hide a program file folder without it making the program not work.

i have dvd shrink 3.2 on my computer and when i first started using it about 6 months ago it would only take approx 50 mins to encode and burn a film but now its taking about 6 hours, does anyone know why??? and what am i to do???? thank you

I had a valid copy of windows. I had to receintly reinstall thanks to a virus. Now that my new copy is in, I cannot for the life of me find my old Activation Key. I was told that If I were to call Microsoft and explain my situation they can issue me a new one no charge. Does anyone know if this is true, or if there is another way to work it without having buying another copy?

A while ago i used a demo version of a programme that I made my own dvd's with customized menu's etc that needed memories on tv for it to burn to disc. I cant remember the name of the programme and I really want to buy it as it was just what I needed. Any ideas?

I really don't want to do this, but the world is so Mac-unfriendly.
