I want to know if there is a way to remove a program from add/remove programs without actually uninstalling it.

Also, Can I remove or hide a program file folder without it making the program not work.

I appreciate the help and will give the best answer 5 stars today. Thanks.

For add/remove try installing CCleaner (No spyware/Malware etc), it cleans up uneccessary files, registry cleans etc and it's FREE.

Under the Tools menu you can select any item from the Add/Remove list (More display than in the windows UI) and choose to remove the software or simply delete the entry.

As for hiding a program folder I suggest you are best off going with previous advice to make the folder hidden and then set the option to hide hidden files/folders.

If you mean a desktop icon, just move it to trash and delete - it is only a shortcut... the program won't be affected.
Otherwise, if you have a program you wish to keep secreted, either rename it or move it to a sub folder in another program.
The best solution I find is to use an encryption program (I use Stealth). Scrambles the file or parts you want hidden... requires a password to open the program, requires another password to decrypt/encrypt a file and scrambles the name of the program to a long number.

You can do both things you are asking about, but nither one is recommended. They will cause issues with windows. If you remove a program with out uninstalling it, Windows still thinks it is there and if it wants to check for a file for that program and can't find it you will receive a error. Hiding a Dir usually wont make a program not function but it will make it dificult for another user to file that Dir if they need to.

For your second question, you can make the folder hidden and then set the option to hide hidden files/folders.

I don't know the answer to your first question.
