i use excel on occasion, but not enough to want to pay a ton to buy it...is there any way to download a free version or an older version for less $??

i like it for spreadsheets around the house and tracking a few home business things that aren't that in depth.

thanks!

Download Open Office. It's a freeware version of Office.

I doubt if you will find a free version of Excel that you can actually use. However, Open Office has a free office suite that contains a very good spread sheet application, and will even accept Excel documents if you have some.

You can try office.microsoft.com and look for a Office 2003 trial of 60 days and then you look for a serial key.
